Now it's possible to be a "pure" info-publisher, creating theme-based
content sites full of high-value information about a subject that
you know and love. Then monetize it.
We talk elsewhere about how the AdSense and affiliate models are
great ways to monetize information sites. The third strong way to generate revenue from niche-oriented
content is to link that content to send visitors to specific businesses (offline
businesses, especially), earning referral or finder's fees. Here's how it works...
- The theme-based content attracts targeted visitors (i.e., potential customers and/or downline members).
- Your site's content credentializes you in the eyes of your potential new customers and/or downline members.
- Your e-zine (electronic newsletter) builds more and more trust.
- You recommend
a business or service.
- You get paid for
the lead or sale that results.
For example, consider the 14 year-old girl who has a
successful site, anguilla-beaches.com. She creates
excellent content about her favorite Caribbean island. She
is a "pure infopreneur... an information publisher."
She provides a form (through Form Build It!)
for visitors to use to contact her favorite real estate
agent in Anguilla. She has earned thousands of dollars
from villa sales and rentals.
And she will add thousands more
when she adds referrals to local boat charters, tour operators, inns, etc.
... all on a pay-per-lead or pay-per-sale basis.
What a great way of bringing the old-fashioned "finder's
fee" into the 21st century.
(She also makes a substantial "foundation monthly income"
from AdSense ads, as well as income by being an Amazon affiliate.)
Remember...
1) There are millions of thriving local businesses who
have no idea how to use the Net. They'd pay you for referrals
2) Most businesses, especially offline ones, do not need,
and will never use, an affiliate program. SBI!
bridges that gap -- all you have to do is figure out how to make this model fit your theme.
